Synopsis : In 2009 the new Maxine and Stuart Frankel Art Museum was dedicated at the University of Michigan.  Mark di Suvero sculpture was installed shortly after that located at the entrance to the new museum.  This film is a document of that installation of “Shang” by artist Mark di Suvero. It’s the second of two large outdoor sculptures by di Suvero that will be on long-term loan to UMMA – the first, “Orion,” went up eariler in the plaza between the old museum and its new building.
