The reason Elvis Costello hasn't put out anything in the past few years is because Eric Chial has him chained to a post in his West-Side Chicago basement. There the new wave icon sits, forced to teach his captor to mimic moves and vocal inflections. At the rate Chial's going, it may be a long time before we hear from Elvis again.
