Marcy is trained as a director and cinematographer from The Berkeley Digital Film Institute, where
she directed and shot her first short film i am Amsterdam while in film school and wrote a screenplay
entitled, Fish Can’t Scream under the mentorship of screenwriter Fred Ritzenberg. Originally trained
as a photographer at The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Marcy has photographed a wide
range of subjects over the past 28 years as an editorial photographer for magazines and newspapers
in the San Diego area.  During the years spent raising her family, she transitioned into the world of
textile design which afforded her the opportunity run a small consortium of textile designers, including
herself, from her home studio.  But her love for photography and story telling motivated her to return
to school and pursue a career as a writer/director.  Marcy grew up around Hollywood sets as the
daughter of character actor Nick CravatBurt Lancaster’s co-star in films like The Flame and the
Arrow and The Crimson Pirate.  At this point in her life, with stories to tell, a compelling screenplay
and a keen sense of the visual aesthetic, Marcy is poised to direct Fish Can’t Scream and is writing
her second screenplay entitled Ben, Her, and the Buffalo Boys.

Jules Kobelin, a commercial artist and business owner of The Kobelin Company for over 18 years,
has recently transitioned into film after graduating from The Berkeley Digital Film Institute.  In the
capacity of producer, Jules has worked on numerous productions, most notably for filmmaker Jake
Kornbluth’s  Warhol Good for the Jews, and as director/producer of acclaimed jazz artist Jacqui
Naylor’s music video, Celebrate Early and Often.  A graduate from The Chelsea College of Art and
Design in London, Jules has worked as an art director, designer, fine artist and commercial artist for
the past 20 years and was the recipient of a prestigious Earthwatch Arts Fellowship Award.  Most
recently she has joined with Marcy Cravat in forming ARTiDOCs which documents the lives and
journeys of local artists and is currently producing their third production.  Jules’ background as a fine
artist, designer, and commercial artist invaluably contribute to the look and feel of every project Jules
takes on.  Her uniquely strong networking skills and love for connecting with interesting people in the
world around her brings out the best in everyone who has the good fortune of working with her.
